I live in Lake Worth, Florida, with my wife, Yamile, and 2 children, Anamaria, and Joseph.

Backstory
When I was completing my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, I never thought I will become a therapist. After my undergrads, I decided to do a Fulltimership Program with Jesus Youth, which was a month of training and a year of mission work. That one year gave me perspective on the need for good counselors for many young people who are struggling with mental health and also a need for education to minimize the stigma related to mental health. That led me to pursue further studies in Clinical Psychology at Roosevelt University in Chicago.
My journey as a counselor continued when I joined Alexian Brothers Parish Services for my internship where I worked under a school social worker and also provided one-on-one counseling for students as well as adults.
My passion
I am passionate about educating our culture and communities on mental health and how to better care for our psyche so that we may lead a healthy life and thus create a healthy community and a healthy world.
Young people are our present and our future!
So I have a passion for providing counseling, especially for young people. Just like any other illness, early intervention is paramount. So I encourage people to come to counseling as early as possible when they notice any disturbance or uneasiness in themselves, well before developing any symptoms of a mental illness. I believe we can prevent people from developing mental illness if we can get counseling early enough to be able to talk through what is going on within us with a professional counselor who is able to guide the person to get in touch with their deeper self.
